For example, a player with a large handicap, the less likely to play with another player with a lower handicap. But, the player has the possibility to play along with more skilled golfers.

This system of calculations can differ from country to country. This is because there is no definite rule that the local golf clubs and golf associations have different rules. Then how to calculate the handicap?

How to calculate Handicap

The value of a player handicaps is calculated based on the difficulty level of the golf course as well as the average of the ten best scores of the player or the average three-round score of the player. For example, if a player has completed 18 holes in 80, 86 and 95 punch, then the calculation of the average score becomes 80 + 86 + 95 = 261/3 = 87.

Then the average value is reduced by a standard value of 18 holes settlement provisions (The Standard Scratch Score). If The Standard Scratch Score (SSS) is 70, then the player receives an initial handicap of 17 (87 – 70 = 17).

For male golfers, the maximum allowable handicap rate is 28. As for women's golfers, the maximum handicap allowed is 36. The better the ability of a golfer, the lower the number of the Handicapnya.

In a golf game played by two golfers with different handicaps, the handicap becomes the cornerstone of the calculation. The selected golf course is tailored to the player's ability or handicap's value. If the game is a golfer with a 10 handicap against a golfer with Handicap 2. Thus, the winner is determined by reducing the final value of the first person by two, while the second person's value is reduced by 10. Then the result is compared.

In general, handicaps are divided into five categories which are as follows:

Category 1: Handicap worth 5 or less (0.1)
Category 2: Handicap worth 5.5 to 12.4 (0.2)
Category 3: Handicap worth 12.5 to 20.4 (0.3)

The use of golf course difficulties is aimed at the assessment of golfers ' ability more accurately. You can inaugurate a golf handicap through golf associations such as the United Stated Golf Association (USGA) by paying some cheap fare.

Handicaps may decline or increase throughout the competition. If a player exceeds their handicap, usually their handicap will be deducted. For example, if a player plays better two blows from his handicaps, then his handicaps will be reduced by 2x the handicap value in the category he is following.
